Abstract

[EN] Between the months of January and September 2009, restoration works have been carried out on the right wing of the façade of the Palace of Peter I in the Alcazar of Seville. These works were commissioned by The Royal Alcázar Board of Seville to resume a previous restoration on the front which began between the years 2005 and 2006, when a number of studies about its historical and material entity were assigned by the Trust to the School of Arabic Studies of the Spanish Council for Scientific Research, these being developed by different laboratories and scientific teams integrated in the Thematic Network of Cultural Heritage of the Council afore mentioned. Subsequently, throughout the years 2007 and 2008, further restorations were carried out on the central body of the façade,1 needing two more phases to restore the lateral wings, one of which has already concluded and is the subject of this article.
