Fué descubierto el 4 de febrero de 1932 en Turín, dándosele la designación provisional 1.932 CA. Se dispone de una órbita calculada por Invrea, que utilizó para calcular los elementos las ocho observaciones efectuadas en Turín desde el 4 de febrero hasta el 13 de mayo. Esta órbita ha sido publicada en «Kleine Planeten, 1.934» y en Astronomischer Nachrichten 251.
