Abstract

In the Ceuta area, located at the northernmost end of the Rifian Interna1 Zones, new outcrops of the Tertiary Formations covering Chomarid units, are studied. The new data obtained allow to characterize the Fnidek Formation (late Oligocene - Aquitanian p.p.) and to discover the Viñuela Formation of Burdigalian age. Furthermore, the discordante existing in between, is clearly evidenced here.
