Abstract

Se ha utilizado un procedimiento de recuento de las citas bibliográficas que aparecen en las publicaciones científicas del personal investigador para evaluar la adecuación de las colecciones de revistas y series de actas de congresos de la biblioteca en el Instituto de Microelectrónica de Sevilla (CSIC-Universidad de Sevilla) a las necesidades de sus usuarios principales. Se analizan 919 citas, repartidas en 103 revistas y series de actas de congresos. De los 103 títulos, 66 (64% del total) se reciben en la biblioteca. Estos 66 títulos acumulan 849 citas (92% del total). Se discute la utilidad de este método para la evaluación de colecciones en bibliotecas especializadas.
