Abstract

El volumen nº XXVIII de la Colección CORPUS HISPANORUM DE PACE está dedicado a la figura de Tomás López Medel, un alcarreño del siglo XVI que, durante poco más de doce años, desempeñó el cargo de oidor en el Nuevo Mundo. Bajo el título de Colonización de América. Informes y Testimonios (1549-1572), se reúnen en dicho volumen una gran parte de sus escritos conocidos (cartas, instrucciones, etc.) cuya edición me ha impulsado a hacer los presentes comentarios.
