Abstract

[EN] Fish farms maintain fishes at high density, which causes infections to appear more often than in free animals. We present a study of fishes from a Turbot farm. Samples were taken to detect the presence of bacteria, visruses or parasites. Furthermore histology was done for positive cases. Samples for virology were processed and cell extracts were inoculated in fish cell lines. Only one sample gave positive results, and the virus was not yet isolated. The bacteria more frequently isolated belong to the genera Vibrio, but we also found Pseudomonas, Streptococcus and Staphylococcus
