El teatro confinado: fantasmas, máquinas y marcianadas

Abstract

[EN] This article explores image-based theatrical strategies and online communication platforms during the period of confinement due to covid in three projects: Project Atlas (of) lost works, by Argentine playwright and director Beatriz Catani, Latente, by the Mexican collective Teatro Ojo, and the online presentation Before Extinction, the result of a course on research in performing arts at the University of Córdoba in Argentina. The relationship of uncertainty between the present and objectifiable and the absent or imaginary provides the method of analysis to put these projects in dialogue with different types of confinement caused not only by medical viruses, but also by those of technology, capitalism, and colonial politics.
