Pilar Calvo Rodero: trasvases entre escultura y escena durante el franquismo.

Abstract

Pilar Calvo Rodero (1910-1974) representa dos aspectos —en gran parte ignorados por la historiografía tradicional— de la producción artística española durante el franquismo: el arte realizado por mujeres, y la producción en medios no pictóricos como la escultura, el figurinismo y la escenografía. A través de un empeño creativo orientado hacia la tridimensionalidad, esta artista creó en torno a sí un imaginario personal rico en técnicas y matices. Apoyado en el estudio de documentación inédita en instituciones públicas, colecciones particulares y el archivo familiar, este artículo analiza la compleja trayectoria de Pilar Calvo Rodero para poner de relieve sus contribuciones en el contexto de la producción cultural femenina durante el franquismo, entre lo escultórico y lo escénico.
