La tesis doctoral del decano de la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de Zacatecas, sobre la obra para guitarra del compositor español Emilio Pujol se ha publicado recientemente en México (Hernández Ramírez, Fabián Edmundo (2021): La música para guitarra de Emilio Pujol. Zacatecas: Policromía Servicios Editoriales, col. ¿Cuadernos de investigación musical, 3¿, 2021). El director de su tesis doctoral, Antonio Ezquerro, expuso la aportación del Dr. Hernández al ámbito guitarrístico latinoamericano y a su docencia universitaria en México, conectando la escuela española (Tárrega, Pujol, Sáinz de la Maza, Llobet, Fortea y Andrés Segovia) con la práctica guistarrística en México, abriéndose un debate con varios profesores especialistas en la materia, de la Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas 'Francisco García Salinas' (Dr. Julio César Jiménez Moreno), y de la Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes (Dres. Juan Pablo Correa Ortega y Raúl Capistrán García).
