Distribución automática de diseños en MPCs

Abstract

El uso de los MPC reduce considerablemente el costo del prototipaje de los ASICs y de las producciones pequeñas, debido a que en el MPC varios diseños se combinan para ser distribuidos en unos pocos chips. Uno de los principales problemas de la realización de los MPC es la distribución de los diseños en los chips de forma que el número de chips sea mínimo. Esta tarea actualmente se realizaba manualmente ya que no existe ningún paquete comercial de CAD que lo realice por ser una tarea específica del MPC. Para paliar esto, se ha implementado una herramienta automática para la distribución de los diseños en un número mínimo de chips, utilizando algoritmos constructivos, de agrupamiento o clustering, de bipartición, y de simulating annealing.
