Decolonizando las memorias afro-hispánicas: fuentes documentales versus fuentes orales

Abstract

Los Estudios Decoloniales constituyen una oportunidad para releer las memorias del pasado colonial. Un ejercicio metodológico imprescindible desde la Antropología Cultural y la Antropología Histórica lo constituye contraponer ciertos documentos y datos de los archivos documentales coloniales con las experiencias de los colectivos que fueron objeto de la colonización. Esta revisión metodológica permite verificar los supuestos fundamentos reales que, sustentados sobre datos ausentes o parciales, servían para consolidar ciertas retóricas que subalternizaban a los otros y las otras en los regímenes coloniales. En esta presentación revisaremos algunas contradicciones respecto a los rifeños del Protectorado español y a los guineoecuatorianos de la región continental de la Guinea Española, a partir de la confrontación de datos estadísticos y documentales con las experiencias vividas en las ciudades de Al-Hoceima (Marruecos) y Bata (Guinea Ecuatorial), ciudades que se encontraban en los márgenes coloniales pues la centralidad sociopolítica estaba en Tetuán y Santa Isabel.
