Abstract

[EN] Rosa Chacel picked up in La sinrazón (Buenos Aires, 1960) a crucial issue in her narrative production: couple’s love. One of its main writing techniques is the recreation of some mythical lovers of our cultural tradition –Tristan and Isolde, Elisena and Perión, Don Quixote and Dulcinea–. Love codes recreated by these couples have influenced loving patterns up to the 20th century, with negative results. In accordance with an era which wants to be more egalitarian, Chacel’s novel suggests the possibility of a change in men and women relationships, posed through the myth of Ifigenia, Orestes’s sister and symbol of female contemporary identity.
