Abstract

[EN] This article analyzes the management policies of multicultural, intercultural, and assimilationist diversity in the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain from the perspective of emotional geography to understand the reasons for their choice. Drawing on the decolonial theoretical framework, our interest is to show the needs to study the impact of emotional geography on said policies while exposing the advantages of reconstructing emotional routes from colonial memories. Altogether the topics relate to a superdiversity that goes exceeds ethnicity as well as the risks of not considering the racialization of migrations sufficiently that, among other factors, can lead to failed citizenships.
