Datos georeferenciados y procesos puntuales en la lucha contra incendios forestales.

Abstract

Los incendios forestales son un gran problema medioambiental y se espera que el cambio climático aumente su severidad. Galicia ha sufrido una gran incidencia de incendios en las últimas décadas, siendo más del 75% de estos incendios intencionados. Esta particularidad dificulta el desarrollo de sistemas de predicción. Este trabajo muestra como la aplicación de técnicas de inferencia no paramétrica para procesos puntuales a datos georeferenciados ayudan a modelar fenómenos tan importantes como los incendios. Nuestra base de datos recoge las coordenadas, hora y fecha del punto de ignición y causa de los más de 100000 incendios registrados en Galicia en el periodo 2009-2014. Hemos caracterizado la distribución de incendios naturales e intencionados mediante técnicas de inferencia de primer y segundo orden para procesos puntuales espaciotemporales. Estos análisis permiten entender su comportamiento e identificar covariables para un futuro sistema de predicción de riesgo de incendios
