Abstract

[ENG] Two commercial acrylic fibres of different deniers were spun into fabrics on continuous spinning machines (3.3 dtex) and by rotor spinning (1.3 dtex). The resulting threads were steamed and dyed under standard conditions. The variations in structure produced by the spinning, steaming and dyeing processes were evaluated by testing the solubility of the acrylic fibres in a dimethylformamide/water mixture (95/5).
