Definición de fuentes sísmicas de terremotos históricos a partir de la escala de intensidades macrosísmicas ESI-07 y la modelización por SHAKEMAPS. Implicaciones en la peligrosidad sísmica

Abstract

En este trabajo se han establecido los parámetros de las fuentes símicas de los terremotos históricos de Tavernes (1396) y de Estubeny (1748). A partir de las intensidades macrosísmicas ESI-07, se han realizado modelizaciones de la fuente sísmica (localización, magnitud y orientación de la fuente sísmica) construyendo diferentes mapas de valores de PGA (ShakeMaps). Se ha elegido la fuente sísmica de la modelización que mayor coherencia presentaba entre los valores de intensidad ESI-07 y los valores de PGA obtenidos, utilizando la correlación de intensidades macrosísmicas y PGAs utilizada por el USGS. Para el terremoto de Tavernes de 1396 se ha obtenido una falla normal orientada NO-SE (Mw 7,0) y para el terremoto de Estubeny una falla inversa orientada ENE-OSO (Mw 6,5). El análisis de las principales estructuras tectónicas de la zona y de las construcciones de los mecanismos focales de terremotos localizados en la zona analizada permite establecer la coherencia de los datos obtenidos con la sismotectónica de la zona.
