Abstract

El Dr. Anastasio Garcia López constituye una de las figuras más sugestivas de la medicina espaiiola del siglo XIX. Nacido en Sedaña -provincia de Cuenca- en 1821, fallece en Sevilla en 1897. Desde joven va a destacar en su personalidad el triple afán de reformar la medicina y la sociedad, incorporar a la ciencia el espíritu científico que por entonces isnpera en Europa y sonar un mundo más justo, en un intento utópico de llevar aquella reforma hasta sus límites más inverosimiles.
