[EN]The last ten years have been of a great importance for the studies of Iberian iconography. A tendence to overcome the old distrusts of positivism allows us today to set up a firm basis for a systematic understanding of iconographical signs in Iberian culture. In this paper it is analysed the history of the research with the its different approaches: elaboration of corpora, typologies, comparatism, structuralism, iconical texts and contexts, etc. Future perspectives in this area of Iberian studies are also taken today into account.
