Modelado geológico 3D a canteras históricas. La cantera de la isla de Nueva Tabarca (Alicante)

Abstract

En este trabajo presentamos la metodología implementada para realizar un modelo geológico de alta resolución 3D de la cantera histórica de la isla de Nueva Tabarca, con el objetivo de que pueda servir de base para una potencial restauración de la villa barroca de la isla por sustitución de los bloques alterados. La metodología implica la creación de un modelo fotogramétrico que dio lugar a una nube de puntos. Dicho modelo es la base sobre la que se lleva a cabo un estudio geológico de campo detallado, que incluye una definición de unidades estratigráficas y una caracterización estructural. Con este conjunto de datos, el modelo geológico 3D comienza con la construcción de superficies mediante interpolación por krigging de las líneas trazadas en 49 cortes geológicos. Las superficies generadas incluyen los contactos entre unidades estratigráficas, la superficie topográfica original de la cantera (previa a la extracción) y la superficie límite de extracción potencial (marcada por el nivel del mar actual). Una vez obtenidas las superficies, éstas hacen de límites para la construcción de geovolúmenes de material extraído y remanente de cada unidad aflorante. Del total extraído el 22.6% correspondía a la unidad U3, el 66,5% a la U4, el 10,9% a la U5. Los porcentajes de material remanente son 61,3% de U3, ca. 42% de U4 y 0,5% de U5.
