Abstract

Don Juan Antonio de Vera y Zúñiga (1583-1658), extremeño, natural de Mérida, protegido del Conde-Duque desde que se conocieron en Sevilla, autor de El Embajador y de Fragmentos históricos (biografía del Conde-Duque), conocido como Conde de la Roca desde que fuera ennoblecido con este título en 1628 por Felipe IV, recibió en Madrid, en el mes de octubre de 1630, tres instrucciones: una para una embajada extraordinaria en Turín y dos (una secreta y otra ordinaria) para la embajada de Venecia.
