[EN] The objective of this work has been found, at present, the aproximate number and proportion in each province of Spain are presented in names and surnames those of Emeterio and Celedonio, patron saints of Calahorra. For this has been made a search, during the month of February of the year 2.000, by means of Internet in the subscribers to the Spanish telephonic net. The result shows that the persons, male, with name ‘emeterio’ are more frequent in provinces of the north of the Castille and Leon Community, maybe by deriving from the medieval repopulation from Cantabria of the north side of the Duero valley. The name of ‘celedonio’ is more frequent in the western provinces of the Duero valley. The persons with those surnames are dominant proportionally in Cantabria, though in absolute numbers are found more in Madrid and in Barcelona. The explanation is that Santander has to San Emeterio and San Celedonio as patron saints; for Madrid - Barcelona it is by the magnitude that have both large urban areas.
