In the Archive of the National Museum of Natural Sciences, Madrid, there are six letters o f the own hand written of D. Jiménez de Cisneros. Some of they incorporate the heraldic shield of the Institute Jovellanos, Gijón, from where they were written. The analysis of some calligraphic features permits to observe variations in the signature of the author, in the head-board of their letters and in the relationship that these have mutually.
