[ES] J. Longinos Martínez Garrido, nacido en Calahorra en 1756, formó parte de la Expedición a Nueva España iniciada en 1787 hasta que murió en Campeche en 1802. La ilusión con que asumió la aventura de explorar las tierras americanas dejó tras de sí fundaciones de museos, de Historia Natural en México y Guatemala, y numerosas investigaciones sobre temas de Ciencias Naturales y costumbristas. Hasta 1938 no fue publicado nada sobre él y en su tierra natal no fue conocido hasta hace pocos años. Sus biógrafos han utilizado varias maneras de nombrarlo, le han asignado varias profesiones y le han adjetivado con más de un centenar de calificaciones. Todo ello constituye una base de datos con 109 variables con distintos valores para 37 trabajos que le han estudiado o le han dedicado textos de cierta extensión.
[EN] J. Longinos Martínez Garrido, born in Calahorra in 1756, was part of the Expedition to New Spain began in 1787 until he died in Campeche in 1802. He founded the first Museum of Natural History in America, in Mexico and Guatemala, and conducted extensive research on natural sciences and customs. Until 1938 it was not published anything about him and his hometown was not known until recent years. His biographers have used various ways of naming, assigned various professions and have given more than a hundred adjectives. This is a database of 109 variables with different values for the 37 books or articles. This array of data leads us to conduct a multivariate statistical study the frequency and setting out names, professions and adjectives to analyze the structure and relationships.
