Abstract

[EN] The painter “J. Solana” produced several paintings on the subject of religious processions that take place at Easter and which are very traditional in Spain. One of those paintings is titled Procession in Calahorra, from 1925, in which he captured his vision of that event in the city celebrated during Easter. Solana was born in Madrid, but her genealogical roots were in Cantabria, which she traveled throughout her youth and where she made several drawings and paintings, including that of the Chapel of the holy martyrs Emeterio and Celedonio, patrons of Santander, (c. 1915) that interests us for its evident relationship with the patrons of Calahorra.
