Abstract

[ES] Durante más de tres siglos la conexión entre España y América se hizo a través de la llamada Carrera de Indias, inspirada en un principio u obsesión: el monopolio. Para garantizarlo se establecen diversos mecanismos: control oficial, colaboración privada, puerto único, navegación protegida.
