Geo-recursos para la sostenibilidad del territorio. Evaluación preliminar del interés de las marmitas fluviales (río Miño, Península Ibérica)

Abstract

Un conjunto de marmitas fluviales (caldeiros, potholes) jalonan el cauce rocoso del río Miño en la ciudad de Ourense (Galicia, noroeste de la Península Ibérica). La principal función de este tramo fluvial urbano está ligada a los recursos de aguas termales. La consideración de las marmitas como recursos patrimoniales que contribuyen a la sostenibilidad del territorio fundamenta la investigación. El inventario y la evaluación de 82 marmitas fluviales tiene el objetivo de hacer visible su interés en el contexto del patrimonio territorial, para promover su conservación y uso/gestión responsable. El análisis de los resultados caracteriza dentro del tramo una serie de sectores con diferente potencial frente a la deseable diversificación de usos
