Abstract

La impresión tridimensional (3DP), denominada indistintamente como fabricación aditiva, es una tecnología emergente para la creación de innumerables objetos mediante capas secuenciales con una amplia flexibilidad de diseño. La investigación para desarrollar diferentes materiales de alto rendimiento está en una etapa incipiente creciendo, sin embargo, de manera exponencial en todo el mundo. Las aplicaciones más importantes de la tecnología 3DP se encuentran en sectores como el del automóvil, el aeroespacial o la construcción, en el campo de los metales y aleaciones, electrónica y o el campo biomédico. Recientemente, la oportunidad de utilizar fibra como refuerzo en el material plástico empleado en la elaboración del modelo ha contribuido significativamente a la mejora de las prestaciones mecánicas de las piezas impresas. En este artículo, junto con la introducción breve de la historia de la 3DP se ilustra el mecanismo para introducir fibras continuas en diferentes plásticos
