In particular, it focused on a species that is usually discarded, mackerel, trying to contribute to the promotion of healthy sustainable consumption. Experiences as DVP can be a way to change the perception of schoolchildren about fish dishes, by offering learning in culinary skills that motivates them to consume it. The transmission of knowledge that supports certain food consumption habits is a valuable tool to achieve more conscious and responsible consumption in the future. DVP could serve as a basis for the development of a program to improve food habits maintained over time, adapting them and opening to a great range of ages
