[ES] Se estudia el comportamiento diferencial de la población frente al estado de salud según los aspectos sociales, demográficos y espaciales, centrándolo en la población anciana. Se pretende contribuir al establecimiento de un método de análisis de las necesidades en materia de salud para la población de este grupo de edad. Se observa una heterogénea autopercepción del estado de salud en relación a la estructura por edad y sexo, nivel de instrucción, renta, estructura familiar y carácter urbano-rural de la población.
[EN] The ageing of the Spanish population and its social and health characteristics. In our work we study the differential behaviour of the elderly. The aim is to contribute to the analysis of the needs in the spheres of health, social services and sanitary aspects. We conclude that the main aspect of this study is the heterogeneous self-analysis of the state of health within a structure of age and sex, leve1 of education, income, family structure and the rural/urban characteristics of the population
