Abstract

Los mixosporidios (protozoa: myxosporea) son un grupo controvertido de parásitos de peces. Se trata de patógenos destacables, tanto por su gran diversidad como por la importancia de algunas de las patologías que causan. Hay descritas 8 especies parasitas de lubina y dorada, algunas de indudable importancia desde un punto de vista patológico. Sin embargo, existen importantes vacíos en el conocimiento de este grupo de parásitos, especialmente en lo que respecta a las especies marinas. Así, se desconocen la naturaleza de los estadios infectantes, el ciclo vital, las vías de transmisión y, en definitiva, las medidas de prevención y control. En esta memoria se profundiza en distintos aspectos de las mixosporidiosis de lubina y dorada, especialmente desde un punto de vista inmunológico. En líneas generales, se realizan intentos para la puesta a punto de metodos diagnósticos. Tanto indirectos (serológicos) como directos (mediante inmunohistoquímica). Para esto, se realizan además estudios en la epidemiologia y patología de ceratomyxa sparusaurati en la dorada, se consigue la esporulación in vitro de este parasito, se purifican y caracterizan las inmunoglobulinas de lubina y dorada, y se producen antisueros contra estas y contra los mixosporidios.
