[EN] An specific serum protein (vittellogenin) was identified and purified from plasma of 17-~-Estradiol treated inmature males. The protein was purified as follows: plasma was dialized, dialisis was followed by a cromatographic separation in 6 B Sepharosa and Concavaline A Sepharosa. The purified protein had similar electrophoretic pattern of a female-specific protein (vitellogenin). An antibody was prepared agains, the purified protein and its specificity demonstrated through inmunospotting. The similarity of this protein with sea bass vitellogenin is discussed as well as the possibilities of its plasma leveIs determination through an especific R.I.A.
