Abstract

En este trabajo se estudia como objeto el Traité des hérétiques, que se creía editado en Lyon en el año de 1554. Esta versión francesa es la tercera en cronología, después de la latina, De Haereticis, y la alemana, impresas en Basilea, pero que no son idénticas ni en autores ni en contenido. Cronológicamente, esta investigación se hizo simultánea con otra sobre el impresor lionés del Traité y, por ello, formando parte de un estudio novedoso, está separada de la de impresores, investigando aquí al principal autor de las tres versiones, que para la mayoría de autores, desde casi la impresión de esta obra hasta la actualidad, se atribuye a Sebastián Castelio (1511-1563). Pero nosotros, contracorriente, pensamos que su autor principal es Martín Borrhaus o Cellarius (1499-1564). Las fuentes utilizadas son, principalmente, las citadas versiones latina y francesa, pero cotejándolos con textos de Borrhaus como, entre otros: De censura veri et falsi (1541), De arte dicendi libros commentaria (1551), e In Mosem, divinum legislatorem (1555). El enfoque analítico es sobre asuntos y presencia de autores en el Traité que nos indicarían, por su citación y amistad, un previo conocimiento con Borrhaus, que no encontramos en Castelio.
