Patologías víricas en especies piscícolas marinas cultivadas

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este trabajo ha sido el estudio de las patologías víricas que afectan a especies piscícolas marinas cultivadas, procediéndose a la identificación y caracterización de los agentes causales, y al diseño y evaluación de métodos de detección capaces de determinar el agente vírico causante de una infección de una forma sensible y rápida. El trabajo se ha centrado en las virosis que afectan a lenguado y dorada, por ser estas especies las únicas afectadas por enfermedades víricas en la Comunidad Autónoma Andaluza. A partir de lenguados enfermos se aisló un virus, denominado solevirus, cuya caracterización biológica y serológica permite incluirlo en el serotipo A2 del virus de la necrosis pancreática infecciosa(IPNV, género Aquabirnavirus, familia Birnaviridae). Los estudios de susceptibilidad realizados mostraron que este virus induce un estado portador en salmónidos y doradas, demostrable mediante las técnicas de RT-PCR e inmunofluorescencia indirecta(citometría de flujo), constituyendo estas especies, por tanto, reservorios potenciales del virus. En el caso de la dorada, el único virus aislado a partir de alevines cultivados ha sido el virus de linfocistis(FDLV,género Lymphocystivirus, familia iridoviridae). Este virus replica de forma más rapida y a mayores títulos infectivos en la línea celular SAF-1(obtenida a partir de fibroblastos de dorada) que en la línea BF-2, descrita como la única susceptible al FLDV. Todos los aislados de FLDV analizados muestran gran homogeneidad a nivel serológico y en cuanto a los perfiles electroforéticos de sus proteínas. Esto ha permitido el diseño y evaluación de diversos métodos de inmunodetección, siendo la inmunofluorescencia indirecta el método más rápida y sensible para la detección de antígenos víricos tanto en células SAF-1 como en leucocitos de riñón.
