Abstract

{ENG}Different European and Mexican institutions are collaborating in an international Project (named REVOLSO, INCO Program) working at the Cuitzeo Basin (Michoacán, Mexico). During three years different soil managements of low costs were assessed with the following objectives: a) The improvement of the soil productivity of Acrisols; b) The reduction of soil erosion; and c) the gully stabilisation. The selected and proposed management includes teaching techniques to the producers as limimg, rotations including legumes, manure and compost admenements, etc. This communication reports results obtained at the experimental plots. The monitoring of the epipedon revealed that the application of different managements produced increase in pH, SOM and total N, but a decrease in the soil bulk density and erosion . during this period.
