Abstract

Se examinaron 57 carpines y 38 carpas, recogidos en varios tramos del río Esla, de enero de 1977 a julio de 1978. Para el estudio de las branquias, donde se localizan los Dactylogyrus spp., seguimos, aproximadamente, el esquema propuesto por LAMBERT y MAlLLARD (1975). La especie de Dactylogyrus mas común en nuestros peces, D. extensus, parasita la carpa (prevalencia 65,7 %, intensidad 20,7) y el carpín (15,7 % y 8,4). Su localización preferente es la parte externa y media de cada hemibranquia. D. anchoratus parasita también los dos Ciprínidos estudiados, pero muestra valores de prevalencia e intensidad menores en ambos hospedadores (18,4 % y 2 para la carpa; 12,2 % y 2,1 para el carpín). Se localiza preferentemente en la parte interna de la hemibranquia. D. vastator ha sido hallado unicamente en el carpín (prevalencia 5,2 %, intensidad 2,3), siempre localizado sobre el extremo de la parte externa de los filamentos branquiales. Los resultados obtenidos parecen demostrar la existencia de un ciclo estacional de prevalencia e intensidad para D. anchoratus, tanto en la carpa como en el carpín, así como para D. extensus en el carpín. cuanto a D. vastator, las infestaciones son demasiado ligeras para permitir formular conclusiones validas a este respecto.
