El trabajo analiza dos documentos posiblemente relacionados con la embajada de Ramon de Montcada a Constantinopla para negociar el matrimonio de Ramon Berenguer, conde de Provenza, hermano de Alfonso II de Aragón, con una princesa de la familia imperial; aspecto que, a su vez, sirve para fijar la cronología de la embajada en 1176.
