Abstract

[EN] Around the 50's or 60's from the last century, it was found two smalls fragments engraved of a Arabic headstone in Cañete de las Torres (Córdoba, south of Spain. The epitaphy probably belongs to the son of the Merinid sultan, Abu l-Hasan `Ali. His name was Abu `Amir `Abd Allah b. Hasan b. `Utman al-Asgar, Abdalla Aboamar in the Christian chronicles. As a consequence of this, we can date the gravestonc in VIII hegira/XIV a.d. The epigraphy shows a very beauty cursive writing commonly in diwan al-insa' of Fes (Morocco). However, it is extremely astonishing the place where it was found, the castle of Cañete de las Torres (hisn Qannit). There is no explanation for this fact.
