[EN] This article looks at severa1 examples of the mediator role assumed by saints (awliya') defending individuals or groups affected by the abusive tax collection or the arbitrary behaviour of some tax collectors. The cases looked at in this article -which come from Western Islamic hagiographical sources between the vrjxrrth and VI-VII~/xii-xiii century-- represent the oldest precedent of the mediating activities of the Maghrihi saints on fiscal matters. This type of intercession (Safa'a) was also to continue in later centuries.
[ES] En este articulo recogemos diversos ejemplos de mediación de santos (awliyá') en Favor de individuos o grupos afectados por el cobro abusivo de impuestos o la actuación arbitraria de algunos recaudadores. Los casos que aqui exponemos -procedentes todos de fuentes hagiográficas del Occidente musulmán entre los siglos VI-VII~/xii-xiii stituyen el precedente más antiguo de la actividad mediadora de los santos magrebíes en materia fiscal. Este tipo de intercesión (Safa'a) continuará también en siglos posteriores.
