From October 2001 to May 2002, several storms produced adverse effects on Catalan beaches, causing substantial erosion problems in different places and hindering beaches use during the summer season. In Barcelona City, this induced the beaches fill that took place in June and July 2002. The behaviour of two of Barcelona City beaches (La Barceloneta and Bogatell) before and after nourishment is studied using temporal series of the shoreline location obtained from Argus video measurements over a two-year period (January 2002 - December 2003). In general, La Barceloneta and Bogatell beaches show similar response to nourishment and storms. In Southern La Barceloneta, minor changes are due to the fact that nourishment was not performed in the area. The study of La Barceloneta and Bogatell beaches using video images allows a precise and regular analysis of coastal morphology
