La Política Agraria Común es la más veterana de todas las políticas comunitarias. Este artículo empieza por justificar por qué una política sectorial como la política agraria se aleja tanto de las restantes políticas económicas. A continuación, en base a doce preguntas y respuestas, abordamos el porqué hemos tenido y tenemos la PAC que tenemos, para terminar hablando de los desafíos y debates actuales.
Por un lado, a escala europea, la Comisión ha puesto sobre la mesa dos estrategias, Biodiversidad y De la granja a la mesa. Por otro, estamos confrontados a un cambio de paradigma para la PAC que devuelve grandes responsabilidades a los Estados miembros y obliga a tomar decisiones importantes y valientes en los próximos meses.
