The present invention relates to a method for obtaining a glycoconjugate, which comprises putting, in the presence of a thyoglycoligase of the family GH3, a carbohydrate molecule bonded to a good leaving group as a donor, and an organic molecule with a functional group in its neutral form as an acceptor, at a pH value close to the pKa value of the functional group, provided that the structure of the acceptor does not have a positive or negative charge capable of interacting with the active centre. The thyoglycoligase obtained surprisingly increases the range of valid acceptors for forming glycoconjugates. [EN]
