[ES] Con las páginas del diario Jaén como fuente primaria fundamental, este artículo ofrece el panorama cultural y social del Jaén de 1941, con el transfondo de los acontecimientos nacionales e internacionales de ese mismo año. El artículo se ocupa de los hechos más relevantes de 1941, pertenecientes a los ámbitos de la política, economía, religión, sindicalismo, cultura, deporte, etc. Todo ello está interpretado en el marco social del primer franquismo, caracterizado por las enormes dificultades económicas, la represión y la esperanza de la clase política en un "nuevo orden" nacional y mundial.

[EN] Drawing material primarily from the daily newspaper Jaén, this article offers a panoramic visión of the culture and society of Jaén in 1941 within the context of national and international events of this same year. This article deals with the events of 1941 pertaining to the political climate, religión, labor unions, culture, sports, etc. These points are interpreted within the social framework of the " primer franquismo" characterized by repression, economic difficulty and the political sector´s hope for a "new order" for both the nation and the world.
