Resistencia al ingreso de cloruros de los hormigones de la ampliación del Canal de Panamá

Abstract

El nuevo o ampliación del Canal de Panamá se está construyendo por el consorcio de empresas ¿Grupo Unidos por el Canal¿ GUPC, coordinado por Sacyr S.A. Consiste en dos nuevas series de esclusas que posibilitaran el paso de buques con mucho mayor calado. La Autoridad del Canal de Panamá, ACP, en su Pliego de condiciones ha definido una vida útil de 100 años para el hormigón en todos sus elementos. Para asegurar la correcta resistencia frente al ingreso de cloruros se ha especificado el cumplimiento de valores de menos de 1000 culombios con el método ASTM 1202 y la aplicación de un método de cálculo de la vida útil. En el presente trabajo se detallan, para algunas de las mezclas diseñadas, los resultados obtenidos tanto de culombios según el método ASTM 1202 como de resistividad y los coeficientes de difusión que se obtuvieron mediante difusión natural. Igualmente se muestran los resultados al introducir los valores en el método numérico de cálculo de vida útil LIFEPRED.
