Nuevas tecnologías para la identificación y delimitación de fortificaciones: el LiDAR

Abstract

: El empleo del LiDAR para la realización de MDT ha supuesto un nuevo impulso en el estudio de los sitios arqueológicos a través de Tecnologías de Información Geográfica. Su uso es especialmente adecuado a la hora de identificar y definir anomalías en el terreno asociadas a sistemas defensivos. A continuación se presentan varios ejemplos del empleo del LiDAR en fortificaciones de diferentes épocas, así como un protocolo de actuación a la hora de utilizar esta tecnología con el fin de buscar y/o verificar este tipo de estructuras.
