Abstract

[ES]: En este trabajo ofrecemos un breve recorrido sobre la figura del catalán José Pijoán desde su residencia en Barcelona hasta su traslado a Roma, como secretario de la primera fundación de la EEHAR. La primera actividad en la que participe este nuevo centro será la ‘Mostra Internazionale di Archeologia’ organizada en 1911 en las Termas de Diocleciano, en la que Pijoán actuará como intermediario de la participación española, ante Italia. Además, será delegado español en el ‘Congresso Internazionale’ que se celebrará en Roma en 1912 vinculado a la exposición del año anterior. Finalizamos este texto con el final de la estancia en Roma de J. Pijoán en 1913 y, en referenciar sus diversos viajes ‘por el mundo’ a partir de la década de los años 20 del pasado siglo.

[EN]: In aim of this work is to offer a brief tour of the figure of the Catalan José Pijoán, from his residence in Barcelona until his move to Rome, as secretary of the first foundation of the EEHAR. The first activity in the new centre will be the Mostra Internazionale di Archeologia organized in 1911 at the Baths of Diocletian, in which Pijoán will act as intermediary of the Spanish participation, before Italy. Furthermore, he will be the Spanish delegate in the ‘Congresso Internazionale’ that it would celebrate in Rome in 1912, that it was linked to the exhibition of the previous year. This text ends with his stays in Rome, in 1913, and a reference of Pijoán´s trips around the world in the twenties of the last century.
