Abstract

En esta primera parte del trabajo se examinan los estkdios publicados por los científicos y los técnicos de la Universidad de Sevilla en docunzerztos de editores espaiioles y extranjeros. Se atiende a la producción bibliográfica durarzte los aiios 1983 y 1984. Se obtienen los rendimientos de cada uno de los departamentos universitarios y de los equipos de trabajo y profesorado, en las distintas facultades y escuelas. y se considera la integración de los irzvestigadores de Sevilla en la tenderzcia creciente de los científicos esparíoles más destacados a difundir sus escritos en revistas interrzacionates de prestigio. Finalrnerzte, se hace una revisión de las revistas utilizadas y de la frecuencia con que estos científicos dan a conocer en ellas sus trabajos y la categoría irzternaciorzal de las revistas extranjeras usadas.

Publications both iri Spain and abroad are arralyzed with the ainz of nzeasuririg specific publicatiorz performances Jor each departmetit, research group arzd teaching staff of every Engineerirzg College or School of the above nzerztiorzed University. The question whether the researchers in Sevilla University follow the irzcreasirtg trertd af prominerzt Sparzish scietztists of publishirig their papers iri ivell-krtowrz interriational journals is specially corisidered. Finally, the journals employed to diffuse papers, the Jrequerlcy of use of these journals arzd their interrzational ranking are studied.
