Se exponen las dificultades de interpretación que puede crear la literatura bibliométrica allector medio, tomado como ejemplo tres definiciones de la ley empírica de dispersión de la literatura científica, entre las que se incluye la del propio Bradford. Se apunta la posibilidad de desarrollar una didáctico bibliométnca, por la que se deduce un concepto puramente instrumental de logaritmo a partir del propio tratamiento cuantitativo debido a la documentación analizada.
