Abstract

This work was partially financed by a grant from the "Comisión Asesora de Investigación Científica y Técnica" of Spain. We thank Professor M. S. Yunusov, Institute of Chemistry of Plant Substances, Tashkent, USSR, for a sample of karakoline.

Spectroscopic and X-ray data are given for pentagydine, a new diterpenoid alkaloid isolated from Delphinium pentagynum.
