Ser establecen las estructuras de dos nuevos furanoterpenos lineales, un C-25 y un C-21, aislados de la esponja Ircinia muscarum. La estereoquímica en los dobles enlaces trisustituidos, se establece en base a los datos de R.M.P. y de Rmn de 13C, por correlación con estructuras previamente descritas. Se discute brevemente el significado biogenético de los metabolitos descritos.

Two linear furanoterpenes have been isolated from the sponge Ircinia muscarum. Their structures and the stereochemistry at the trisubstituted iso prenoid double bonds have been established on the basis of their 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR data by correlation with previously described compounds. The biogenetic meaning of the compounds now reported is discussed briefly.
