La dehesa de Zacatena en el siglo XVI: aproximación a sus ordenanzas y guardería mayor.

Abstract

La documentación de la Orden de Calatrava conserva ordenanzas y diversas licencias de explotación de la dehesa de Zacatena, además de los nombramientos de guarda mayor en el siglo XVI, que podemos comparar también con otros nombramientos que se concedieron a comendadores de dicha orden con funciones similares. Se presentarán diversos documentos fechados entre 1450 y 1567, con especial atención a las medidas conservacionistas aplicadas. Esta dehesa, por su pertenencia a la mesa maestral de la Orden Calatrava, había quedado bajo el gobierno directo del rey, tras la incorporación de los maestrazgos de las órdenes militares a la Corona por los Reyes Católicos y el empeño puesto en los reales sitios establecidos por Carlos V y Felipe II.
